DJ Mugsy Mugs, was born in Brooklyn and raised in “Easy to Reach Rockaway Beach”. From a very early age he loved all types of music. As a DJ, Mugsy Mugs has bee…n “rocking parties” for years , playing for all types of people including JLo and Halle Berry. After spending a spring break in the hills of Jamaica and seeing King Yellowman perform, he fell in love with Reggae music and was “touched” for life.
DJ MugsyMugs is part of the NYC-Jamaican Reggae Recording scene and has worked with artists like Screechie Dan, The Mad Stuntman, Naturally and Major Danger. DJ Mugsy Mugs would like to shout out the people that have influenced him including, the late Philip Smart from HC&F Studios, Shaggy, Rayvon, Shabba and DJ Fidel.
DJ Mugsy Mugs’ latest single, “LifeLine” features The King of Dancehall- Beenie Man and Native Jamaican singer Swallow. “LifeLine” is a universal love song about ones dedication to their soulmate, family and friendships.
We are all sustained by a “LifeLine”…
