Craving Things Cheesy? Vinny’s Tips Make It Easy

It may be hard to imagine at first,

A cashew tasting like Dairy?

Or some of you may be thinking, “How does a cashew get to a cheese-like state? That must be so over processed and not healthy either!”

WRONG. 

Vinny has the most simple and delicious recipe for super easy, home made Cashew Cheese!

Here’s Vinny’s solutions on Cheese cravings:

Vinny’s next step is: Substitutions. 

What is it you love and fear you will miss if you started down this path of treating you body well? Mine was the creamy rich consistency of cheese. Enter Avocados! They replaced the cheese I would add to my salads and breakfast sandwiches. Making way for fun guacamole experimentations with tomatoes, cucumbers (deseeded and chopped small to bulk up the quac) red onions, lime, cilantro, cumin (ground), sea salt, and my fave Raw Garlic (BOOSTING YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM!!)

Other creamy ‘cheesy’ goodness!

Cashew Cheese:

Soak 1 cup of raw cashew in boiling water for 20-30 minutes, or room temp over night. *till Mushy*

Drain and add to food processor. Blend.

Then add

1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast (you can sprinkle this stuff on ANYTHING to get a cheesy consistence!)

Capful of Apple Cider Vinegar.

Pinch of Salt

Lemon Juice a tablespoon or 2

and maybe a splash or Almond Milk or Water
