The Elephant Hotel is one of Lola's absolute favorite aspects of Coney Island History!  This incredible hotel astounded the masses when it was built in Coney Island in 1882.  The world had never seen anything like this colossal elephant whose seven floors and 31 rooms rose high into the sky!  It was rumored to be a brothel with a cigar shop in the front leg.
